Amman - In line with BMW’s continuous efforts to raise awareness on road safety, Abu Khader Automotive, the official importer of BMW Group in Jordan, recently hosted a safety awareness workshop for guests from The Lions Clubs, Jordan Forum for Business and Professional Women and the Managing Board of the Society for the care of the elderly. Over 40 women gathered for a briefing on safety seminar which was followed by a test drive experiences in various BMW 3 models to demonstrate the latest safety and connectivity features in the cars.

According to an international study, the most critical areas to check before going on a driving trip are engine fluids, radiator hoses, belts, tyres and brakes. Therefore, the workshop aimed to bring local women together in an informal environment, engage them in an interactive session where they got the chance to be informed about the basics of vehicle maintenance, and how to avoid potential breakdowns, extend vehicle's life and above all, ensure their and their passengers' safety on the road.

Mr. Fahed Naber, General Manager at Abu Khader Automotive, commented on the workshop saying: “Abu Khader Automotive is committed to raising awareness about the importance of road safety therefore this was a fitting event to highlight basic car maintenance tips to not only ensure safety of passengers but also help prevent costly repairs. Hence and for the second consecutive year, after the positive feedback of last year’s women safe driving workshop, we are reaching out to more women organizations to help empower them with safe driving tips as well offering them an opportunity to enjoy the sheer driving pleasure of our latest BMW models.”

Since 2011, Abu Khader Automotive has annually launched a road safety campaign under BMW Group's “Stay Alert. Stay Alive” theme to raise awareness of the importance of road safety measures with focus on encouraging the general public to drive cautious and in particular,  ensure that all passengers are buckled up, always.
